Terms of Use
Rules for using SetNerd, accounts, learning content, community features, and paid services.
1. Provider and scope
These terms apply to the SetNerd app, web Academy, and related accounts. Different terms of an organization apply only to separately agreed Academy services.
2. Account and security
Account information must be accurate. Credentials must not be shared. Suspected misuse must be reported promptly. Minors may use SetNerd only where permitted by applicable age and consent requirements.
3. Gameplay and learning content
SetNerd teaches film-set knowledge through gameplay. Points, ranks, learning records, and internal completions are not state-recognized or professionally regulated qualifications and do not replace mandatory safety instruction, training, or professional examinations.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Price, term, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the App Store terms shown at purchase. SetNerd does not retroactively block paid content where a valid entitlement is verified.
5. Community and user content
Illegal, abusive, discriminatory, dangerous, or rights-infringing content is prohibited. Content can be reported and accounts or contacts can be blocked. SetNerd may review, restrict, or remove reported content and suspend accounts for serious or repeated misuse. Users retain their rights and grant SetNerd only the revocable permission needed to provide and moderate the service.
6. Availability and changes
SetNerd aims to provide a reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Security, maintenance, and content updates may change features. Material changes to paid services will be communicated in advance.
7. Liability
Statutory liability rules apply. SetNerd has unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence involving essential contractual duties, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical contractual damage where legally permitted.
8. Termination and deletion
You may stop using SetNerd and delete the account in the app at any time. Legally required records and necessary organizational evidence may be anonymized or retained for the required period. A final organization owner may need to transfer their role before deletion.
9. Final provisions
German law applies while preserving mandatory consumer protections of the user’s country of habitual residence. If a provision is invalid, the remaining terms remain effective.
